Selection Criteria

The Board of Directors has chosen Loyola Academy, Wilmette Illinois to receive annual funding for scholarship(s) for its students. Applicants must apply to Loyola Academy for admission and indicate their need for financial assistance. Each recipient will be chosen by Loyola Academy based on financial need and academic potential. The recipient must submit an annual report to the Board of Directors describing their involvement in community service activities to be considered for future funding.

The Foundation continues to seek charitable organizations that positively impact two other sectors: the homeless and children with special needs. Criteria for selection include demonstration of quantifiable results from services provided by the charity and appropriate administrative overhead.

Although the Foundation cannot directly support a special needs child or homeless person, it can contribute to a not-for-profit entity on the child’s/individual’s behalf. An example includes a child who needs special equipment, such as a wheelchair, can apply to the Foundation for the school or program to receive “restricted” funds on the child’s behalf for purchase of the device.
