The Tony DeRosa Foundation provides ongoing support through an annual grant to Crisis Assistance Ministry, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This organization offers short term emergency financial support to families facing eviction across Mecklenburg County. In addition to financial support, the program provides case management and access to essential resources, including free clothing, household essentials and appliances. The ultimate goal of this organization is to move each of their clients to self-sufficiency.
Based in Chicago, Night Ministry provides housing and health care to those experiencing homelessness. Their programs include emergency shelter for youth and adults and long term residential services. Night Ministry provides a health outreach bus that visits encampments and locations with large unhoused populations. They also offer food, survival supplies and winter wear.
Morningstar Mission is a nondenominational organization that is focused on relieving the physical and spiritual hunger of the poor. This is accomplished by providing emergency overnight housing for men and women, transitional housing, food, clothing and a recovery program.
